No Brīvības pieminekļa līdz Uzvaras parkam notiek gājiens "Par atbrīvošanos no padomju mantojuma" ar mērķi aicināt Valsts prezidentu, Saeimu un valdību apzināt un demontēt visus PSRS jeb Krievijas okupācijas varas pieminekļus un piemiņas zīmes.
