Turpinot Brīvības pieminekļa izgaismošanas projektu ap Brīvības pieminekli tiek uzstādīti metālapstrādes uzņēmuma "Tecnopali" izgatavotie 11 metrus augstie 12 speciālie balsti, kuros tiek izvietotas apgaismošanas komunikācijas.
