    RIGA, June 5 (LETA) - As several countries are seeing a drop in the number of new Covid-19 cases, self-isolation is not required also for travelers from Malta and Spain, according to the data by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

    In these countries, the 14-day cumulative incidence rate of Covid-19 no longer exceeds 15 reported cases per 100 000 population.

    14-day self-isolation should be observed by those arriving from five EU and EEZ countries - Ireland, Belgium, Portugal, the UK and Sweden.

    The self-isolation requirement does not refer to travelers from 26 EU and EEZ countries - Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, Poland, Romania, France, Finland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Austria, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Hungary, Norway, Switzerland, Cyprus, Greece, Iceland, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Lichtenstein, Malta and Spain.

    Cumulative two-week Covid-19 incidence keeps dropping in all three Baltic states with Latvia reporting the biggest decline - from 5.2 cases per 100,000 residents on May 29 to 3.02 cases per 100,000 residents on June 5.

    Estonia reported seven cases per 100,000 residents on May 20, and 6.78 cases on June 5, while Lithuania reported 5.3 cases on May 29 and 3.42 cases on June 5.

    Sweden still reports the highest cumulative incidence with 96.16 cases per 100,000 residents, growing from 70.7 cases on May 29.
