Zanda Kalnina-Lukaševica delivers opening remarks at the World Latvian Economics and Innovations Forum

November 21, 2019

The following is a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

On 21 November 2019, the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zanda Kalnina-Lukaševica, opened the World Latvian Economics and Innovations Forum in Valmiera. In her remarks to the participants, the Parliamentary Secretary made note of the importance of the diaspora for the strengthening of Latvia's economy. Experience, contacts and understanding of the challenges and needs of the dynamic present-day world are an invaluable part of the wealth of knowledge to be passed on to other businesses, Zanda Kalnina-Lukaševica underlined.

The Parliamentary Secretary praised the substantial contribution by the World Federation of Free Latvians to the organisation of the forum and its evolution over the years, helping bring together talents in Latvia.

We have the opportunity, said Zanda Kalnina-Lukaševica, to enjoy the fruits of this forum, when we see Latvian products in new markets, meet our business people in far-away lands or, on the other hand, hear more and more thoughts and ideas on how to invest in Latvia or run one's company in Latvia or from Latvia.
