    Latvia wins bronze in team relay at European Luge Championships

    OBERHOF (Germany), Feb 11 (LETA) - Latvian lugers won bronze in team relay at the European Championships in Germany's Oberhof on Sunday.

    This was Latvia's third medal at the European Luge Championships last week, as Andris and Juris Sics won bronze in doubles and Kristers Aparjods in singles on Saturday.

    The Latvian luge squad for team relay on Sunday was comprised of Eliza Cauce, Inars Kivlenieks and the Sics brothers.

    Italy won gold in team relay on Sunday, while the German team finished in second place.

    In the overall World Cup standings, Germany is currently in first place with 440 points, Russia is second with 355 points and Latvia third with 340 points.
