RIGA, March 20 (LETA) – Martins Krievins will step down from the position of the State Chancellery director as of March 21, Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis (Greens/Farmers) spokesman Andrejs Vaivars reported.
Krievins will step down from the position "on mutual agreement". Both parties have agreed not to elaborate on details.
Until the new head of the State Chancellery is appointed, State Chancellery legal department head Inese Gailite will be the acting director.
Krievins was appointed to the position in August 2015.
